The Champions4Children Walk began in 2007 and is being held in a number of States throughout the Midwest Region. The Michigan Chapter of the National Children’s Alliance is coordinating the walks in Michigan to raise awareness about child abuse and to provide funding to continue to support children’s advocacy centers across Michigan. The design of the Walk has evolved over the years, and we are excited about the format for this year. Each CAC now has the opportunity to host the Walk in its own community, increasing the number of individuals who can participate and empowering each center to share the important work they do. The Michiana Cruisers Club was established in the Fall of 1995. The Michiana Cruisers are supporters of the Berrien County Council for Children-Children's Assessment Center of Berrien County and raise money for the cause at their weekly Cruise-In and yearly Benefit Car Show. June 20-24, 2011 at the Martin's Super Market at the corner of St. Rd. 23 and Ironwood. For the 14th consecutive year, U93 donated a week of on-air time to help raise public awareness - and funds - for child abuse prevention programs throughout the Michiana community. 2010 roofsit has raised over $80,000! You can make an online donation to the 2011 campaign by clicking the donate link to the right. To date, Roof-Sit has raised over $1.6 million to help prevent child abuse - and all funds raised have stayed within the U93 listening area.
